Decentralized Nigeria 2.0 brings the Web3 world back to Lagos. The site is the box office, the sponsor deck and the programme at once: it sells tickets, takes sponsorship payments, collects speaker applications and carries the proof from the first edition.
The brief
A conference has one date and it does not move. Everything the site does has to work before 15 August, because there is no second launch window.
One site had to do several jobs for several audiences: sell a ticket to an attendee, sell a package to a sponsor, take an application from a speaker, and convince all three that the second edition is worth more than the first.
The hard part
Two different kinds of money come through the site, a ticket someone buys in a minute and a sponsorship package negotiated over weeks, and both had to be finished and trustworthy before a date that could not slip. Access verification then had to hold up on the day, in a venue, on hotel wifi.
What we built
- Ticket sales, general admission and VIP, with Stripe taking the payment.
- Sponsorship packages with their own payment flow, separate from ticketing.
- The speaker lineup, and a form for speakers to apply.
- The schedule, and table reservations for the gala night.
- A waitlist and newsletter sign-up.
- An access-verification endpoint for checking passes.
- An archive of the 2025 edition, so the second year can stand on the first.
Where it is now
- Live at decentralized-world.com
- Second edition: 15 August 2026, Muson Centre, Lagos
- Further editions announced for Nairobi and Hong Kong in 2027
