Stop paying for things you forgot about. Subsense puts every recurring cost in one place, emails you before each renewal, works out your monthly burn and yearly projection, and flags the ones you barely use. No bank connection, no long onboarding.

The brief

Subscriptions leak money quietly. A trial you forgot to cancel, a tool you stopped using, a plan that went up in price without telling you.

Most trackers want to read your bank account first. Subsense asks you to add the subscriptions yourself, which takes a couple of minutes, and then does the arithmetic and the remembering for you.

The hard part

Without bank data, every number on the dashboard has to be derived from what the user typed, across whatever currencies they pay in. Normalising that into one total you would actually trust, and picking the moment to warn someone about a renewal, mattered more than any screen in the product.

What we built

  • Accounts and onboarding, with better-auth running on Convex.
  • A dashboard of every recurring cost, with a detail view per subscription.
  • A renewal calendar, and email alerts before a charge lands.
  • Spending insights: monthly burn rate and an annual projection.
  • Detection of rarely-used subscriptions, with what cancelling would save.
  • Multi-currency support, normalised automatically into one total.
  • An installable PWA, plus settings, support and legal pages.
